Once the Village Center was up and running, its operators saw an immediate jump in revenue—by over $30k annually. And that was just the baseline: Since then, we have worked to continually find ways to reduce costs over time by finding new fiber carriers once each subsequent contract is up for renewal.
On the residential side of things, the property has maintained low service call rates, which speaks to the speed and stability of the internet at this property. And our commitment to supporting this project for the long haul has allowed us to become a go-to resource for anything tech-related in the area, and the first option for related or future projects.
This project combined the typical considerations of multi-family installations with the added benefit of supporting Commercial tenants in a mixed-use environment — without introducing any additional complexity to the project team or construction timeline. Because we were involved from day one, we handled all of the behind-the-scenes coordination, including finding the most cost effective fiber in the area and designing the network around current needs and future plans.
Our biggest post-construction focus wasn’t technical — it was making sure ownership received the best long-term value. When the initial 3-year carrier agreement ended, we sourced a new local carrier and managed the entire transition. The changeover occurred during off-hours, required no action from any commercial tenant, and resulted in zero business interruption — all while moving everyone onto the new owner-provided service seamlessly.
